Kind of disappointed in poster that they like this piece of shit and vaguely disgusted by the stench of marketing. posted by fullerine at 5:46 AM on January 13 [5 favorites]
suddenly oddly proud that the presentations at my company are less boring than that (where "that" is both the presentations the video mocks as well as the video itself) posted by DU at 5:47 AM on January 13

Reference to the 100 or so other videos and text thingys that have made this joke far far better, faster and earlier that this one. Observation that this was literally like no business presentation I have ever been to, which are actually a million times worse and more hilarious. posted by Potomac Avenue at 5:55 AM on January 13

Eye-rolling comment incorporating phrase 'best of the web', posted just a little too quickly for poster to have actually watched SLYT in question.

I see what they've done there, but not why they would do it. posted by Wolfdog at 6:16 AM on January 13
They are making fun of presentations that are all the same but they are using this technique of describing the dialogue... which is not new and has been done many times! Or is this a parody of a parody of a meta. I'm not smart enough to know. posted by solmyjuice at 6:46 AM on January 13
I'm not sure what is more depressing, the complete eye-gouching pope-felching suckitude that is that video, or the realization it may be an accurate portrayal of what some people actually do for a living. posted by timsteil at 6:47 AM on January 13 [1 favorite]
They're trying to sell a book with the word "habitudes" in it. I'm surprised that they managed to remove the lens cap. posted by The White Hat at 6:49 AM on January 13 [1 favorite]

I saw this sort of presentation recently; it was about working with people who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). I think it's more common among academics who are inexperienced at conference-style presentation, maybe?
