Move over SOPA make room for Canadas Conservative governments new surveillance bill.

Interesting, how when SOPA has been stalled, the Conservative Canadian Government is now trying to enact the Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act. "A bill that would give police and intelligence agencies new powers to access Canadians' electronic communications, sometimes WITHOUT A WARRANT, has been tabled in the House of Commons.".CSIS, Canadas' spy agency and the police want this legislation which would require ISP's to give names and addresses

You can bet, in addition to sharing such information with Canadian police, CSIS will pass it to relevant foreign agencies most definitely with US agencies.

Justin Trudeau (Pierre Elliott Trudeaus' son), a member of Parliament in Quebec is incensed at the far right turn this Conservative Government is taking, this legislation being the final straw.

This proposed legislation falls on the heels of Conservative bills dropping our Gun Registry, enacting minimum sentencing, allowing CSIS to utilize information extracted by torture, pimping the oil pipeline, refusing to join in on Kyoto Accord, tightening up copyright laws and buying fighter jets we can't afford.

All of these bills hit at the heart of what we considered to be Canadian Values. When the Conservatives campaigned most of this agenda was never mentioned. They did not have a majority till this last election and have gone amok.

Oh well, at least we received some Pandas from China. It may be prophetic that the most memorable head of state receiving Pandas from China was Richard Nixon. I wonder who Harper is" Pandering" to?
