Mos Eisley Performance Hall. You will never find a more wretched hive of burlesque, theatre & entertainment. We should be cautious.

I am a big fan of both Star Wars and burlesque and I'm very sad that none of these articles contain video.

I hope at least one of them performed to this funky rendition of the Star Wars theme.

I think it would have been much more awesome if R2D2 had not popped open to reveal a woman and instead had just beep-booped a few desultory circles around the stage before opening a site maintenance panel to reveal an intake valve. HAWT

Looking at those links, they seem to portray Jabba in a way designed to evoke the Human Centipede.

I guess I'd be more offended if Lucas hadn't already done Two Suns, One Hutt.

There are videos, fight or flight. I've seen them somewhere. (Research! My sister and friend and I started a SW themed dance team for the Krewe of Chewbacchus at Mardi Gras. They are probably on m facebook group page somewhere. I'll look when I'm not on a phone.)

There's nothing worse than the frustration of having somebody who doesn't get what you're doing trying to turn it into something else.

I am buying this. Disbelief not just suspended, but taken out back and shot. The only thing missing is gender parity: if we can have a sexy Chewbacca, why not a dashing, handsome Prince Leon or a John Waters-themed Hon Solo?

George Lucas, 2012?  Meet George Lucas, 1975.

I get where this comes from. But see, for example, Ralph Waldo Emerson:

There is then creative reading as well as creative writing. When the mind is braced by labor and invention, the page of whatever book we read becomes luminous with manifold allusion. Every sentence is doubly significant, and the sense of our author is as broad as the world. We then see, what is always true, that, as the seer’s hour of vision is short and rare among heavy days and months, so is its record, perchance, the least part of his volume. The discerning will read, in his Plato or Shakspeare, only that least part, — only the authentic utterances of the oracle; — all the rest he rejects, were it never so many times Plato’s and Shakspeare’s.

Emerson? Obviously this discussion just got way too serious to contribute a simple observation about how FRACKIN' HOT that stormtrooper is!!! So I'll just be moseisleying along.

Courtney Cruz is about 5'2"

Isn't she a little short for a Stormtrooper?
