...that first Butthead closeup looks oddly familiar.

Heh, Beavis really does have no bunghole.

I never knew you could tell which one was which. To me they were like... like Jedward. There is no Beavis and no Butthead, only this divided entity that is Beavis and Butthead. Obviously I was wrong about them, but right about Jedward.

I never realized Conan O'Brien got his break in that show.

Butthead looks like he could actually be a real person. Beavis looks utterly terrifying and kind of demonic -- I think it's that smile of his.

The Beavis looks scarier than the Butthead, which is odd, since on the show, Beavis is the more likable one.

Wow, Beavis sort of looks like how I picture Loki (the Norse god) to look in my head.

something about the Beavis model that just gets it wrong, somehow

yeah, he kept certain features way too cartoonish and accurate to the drawings to be realistic-looking. Butthead looks almost believable as a human being; exaggerated certainly, but the features themselves look somewhat based in reality. Beavis' mouth is way too big, his eyes are open way too wide and slanted in an unnatural angle, and his eyebrows are at too steep and dramatic of an angle to be believed. He has the appearance of a cartoon old man instead of a teenager. If they had gone more subtle it might have worked better.

In the words of Senator Fritz Hollings: "We've got this...what is it...Buffcoat and Beaver or Beaver and something else. I haven't seen it, I don't watch it, but whatever it is, it was at 7, Buffcoat, and they put it on now at 10:30"

He has the appearance of a cartoon old man instead of a teenager.

I think that's a big part of the problem. He looks way older than he should.

I'm not going to click the link and instead assume it's a c. 1967 photo of Art Garfunkle.

I'm pretty sure I had super awkward stoned making out with that Butthead in an attic in 97

So... Beavis is Aphex Twin?

Beavis is definitely Art Garfunkel in a police mugshot just after eating an enormous cache of drugs rather than flush them.

This also reminds me of those mega-depressing Simpson episodes (maybe there was just one) where Bart is a grown-up loser with bad tattoos and no job etc.
