Trigger Rally is "a fast-paced single-player racing game for Linux" and now, thanks to WebGL, Three.JS, and Jasmine Kent, everyone can play in a browser.

This game is set in a crater on Mars, after terraforming. Due to a rubber shortage in Elysium Planitia, your vehicle's tires are made of polytetrafluoroethylene.

Man. It is a good thing for me and everyone else that I don't drive.

So is Vermont really this lax about their driving tests? They apparently gave QWOP man a license..

This looks exactly like what it sounds like.

To make it more fun, try changing the camera-settig with "c" and start performing eskimo-rolls (and more).

What's the deal with the twirling mobius strip-like green thingy?
posted by lampshade at 10:36 AM on March 2, 2012

The green swirls are "checkpoints". If you complete all the checkpoints the timer stops counting up and you get a final time. You then restart the trial by entering the first checkpoint again.

The cars are made of out rubber, their tires are made out of springs...
or something like that.

It's a tech demo - there's no game here yet.

Are the leaves supposed to be floating? Or do other people see some tree trunks that I do not?

Floaty driving game is floaty.

After playing that for a couple of minutes, all I can say is, I'm glad I don't have to control my actual car with a keyboard.
