And the first volley in the creepingly uncomfortable Dad Rap War of 2012 has been fired.

This is probably as awkwardly hilariously horrible to us as "When The 99% Decide To Vote" or "When The 99% Decide To Invest" is is to them. Though I can't console myself with a bathtub full of Krugerrands, if the mood strikes me, that's an important difference.

Aren't most of the rappers the casual fan would be likely to have heard of in the 1%?

This was an old attempt to cash in on the Rebecca Friday so-bad-it's-good cash-in. ... Last year some time, right?

Allen Samuels Is a YouTube Hit, ABC News, August 10, 2011.

I would think Jay-Z is already in the 1%.

When the 1% Decides to Rap

I had a feeling the response to this call was going to be "They shouldn't" and it's nice to know that I was right on this one.

Though you didn't have to watch the video to know that. One only lives "de life" (rather than "da life") if they would probably (a) fail rapping or (b) fail French.
