Previously on Metafilter: Mike Daisey's monologue on abuses at the Foxconn factory appears on This American Life. Apple responds by allowing the Fair Labor Association to audit their suppliers. Today: This American Life retracts the show "Mr. Daisey and the Apple Factory" "because we can’t vouch for its truth. ...We're horrified to have let something like this onto public radio."

did anyone else think this as they were listening? the way he even told the story grated on me. like he was making it up.
