Auroras Underfoot is a short documentary about auroras by NASA, which uses high-definition images taken by International Space Station science officer Don Pettit of aurora from orbit. Pettit writes about the difficulties of taking photographs from orbit and other subjects on his blog.

I love and hate reading about this stuff - I love it because I want to go into space at some point. So cool to see the photographs and learn more about living on ISS. It makes me sad that it doesn't look like there's any good way for me, personally, to get into space. Hopefully *something* will come of the space tourism industry...

So that secret Arizona soundstage finally has a CGI department. They should tone it down a bit, the colors are way over the top.
