Zimbabwe 'sperm hunters' picking up male travellers. By threat of violence, bribes, drugging, or simply by turning on the charm, some ladies are putting fear into the hearts of Zimbabwe's men. Female-on-male rape is not considered a crime in Zimbabwe.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Not belittling the reality that on-male rape is a thing that happens, but this is kind of a thin and not-well-sourced story and not a great foundation for a post. -- cortex

I...am sceptical about this.

Yes, it's an extraordinary claim and I see no extraordinary proofs. I've seen this story a couple of times in the last few months, always with fairly sketchy details, and it just doesn't ring true. Men, the world over, pay for sex. When did it become necessary to drug them and hold them at knife-point in order to get hold of their semen?

When you intend to keep it for undisclosed purposes? If your one-night-stand insisted on keeping the used condom rather than throwing it out, you'd be understandably freaked out and probably refuse, wouldn't you?

Single Telegraph link? Flagged as pointless, unsubstantiated nonsense. No offence holterbarbour, but there is nothing in this sensationalist claptrap that's worth an FPP.

I've often argued that sex is a Veblen good. These women are doing it wrong by giving it away.

I really don't see how the occasional man noticing that the sex worker kept his condom is going to justify the risk and expense of a programme of kidnapping. Why would he even care? It makes absolutely no sense.

Unattributed, even.

I think that in world history, every single example of any class of people stealing men's "vital fluids" has turned out to be complete and utter horseshit.

The only thing worthy about this story is that somebody has decided that "the dark imaginations of reddit's r/mensrights" is a reliable source for a newspaper story.

Gives new meaning to the phrase white man's burden.

howfar writes "When did it become necessary to drug them and hold them at knife-point in order to get hold of their semen?"

Maybe the women are just rapists; isn't rape supposed to be about power and not sex? Could be it's some fucked up 5th season of the The Wire Psyche out.
