Never had 'em! Mom didn't care for them (thank goodness-the okra, tripe, chicken gizzards, ox tails and lima beans were already the source of many tears and arguments). Its not that I'm chicken-I love sushi and I've eaten rattlesnake but it just seems so...unnecessary. Y'know?

The thing I appreciate about this site is the tightrope walk of proudly talking about a product that once had feces coarsing through it. Even Yugo salespeople had more to work with.

Thanks for the link. This explains the commercial I used to hear on a local AM radio station for some market that sold "the cleanest chitlins in Metro Detroit!"

Andouille sausage is made from chitlins and tripe. Jesus! I've been eating this (pardon the pun) crap for years, and didn't know it. I swear I'm gonna go vegetarian.
