Anthrax (the band) offered a dealAnthrax has been contacted by makers of the anti-biotic Cipro, a drug used to combat the deadly agent. The company, Bayer, inquired about possibly placing banner ads for their suddenly-in-demand pill at Anthrax's homepage, according to a report on the Rolling Stone website. Wasn't Bayer in the courts a while back for alleged involvement in the Holocaust of WW2? Maybe they were really onto something with the 'Not tested on animals' disclaimer.

When ww2 was won, the americans took the trademark 'bayer' in the US. So it's a diffrent company.

Make that World War I. Fun fact from this Bayer history:

"Just before the turn of the century, Bayer began marketing two notable drugs. In 1898, the company sold diacetylmorphine under the trade name Heroin; in 1899, it sold acetylsalicylic acid under the trade name Aspirin."

How about that?
I don't know their music from boxfull of puppies, but what a great response to Bayer.
Such jerkoffs, trying to capitalize on fear, and deplete supplies of a potentially crucial drug by encouraging people who don't need it to stock up.
