hardly seems human I had to stop there. I am staying in a house in the desert in New Mexico, nothing but moonlight and coyotes and howling wind. I just can't watch this in the dark.

Thank you! I saw a video of one of his performances two years ago, and couldn't for the life of me remember his name or find it again. It was this one. At 2:26/2:27 or so - I jumped. I know it's just clay, but there is something so brutal and visceral about that moment.

Take a random 30 second excerpt from any of these clips, run it at half speed, double speed, rotate it 180 degrees, add some filters - and you've got yourself a pretty good Skinny Puppy video.

This was really creepy and disturbing, but interesting. I found myself, like, immediately repulsed when he covered his face in clay and I couldn't see his eyes anymore. I also feel like David Lynch would love this guy.

I'm not usually very impressed by nontheater performance art, but this is excellent. Dark and intense, simple and punchy, every sound and movement perfectly attuned to the moment.

Wow, powerful and excellent. I loved it. This man will not make 0.5% of the money that Kinkade did, and will get only about 0.75% audience size. So in that sense he is a failure.

Reminded me, too, of David Lynch's style, and NIN, and Id games of the Quake era. Is this really performance art? Much of it is obviously edited and post-processed, and couldn't be done live. To be performance art, does it have to be performable? It seems more like the visual and auditory effects of some horror movies, excised en bloc from the movie narrative.

This is just absolutely bizarre. I mean, good for him for taking his ideas and totally rolling with them even though almost every comment is "This guy is absolutely insane." Not to my taste, really, but it's neat that this stuff is out there. If nothing else, it certainly gives you good ideas for Halloween.

Some of these clips are clearly edited down from live performances (unless the clicking of cameras is part of the performance, which I don't think it is).

This is the kind of thing that make me envious that I didn't think to do it. I kind of like the, "Woah that guy CRAZY" comments. If you're willing to intellectually dive in to what he's got going on, the fact that a lot of people don't seem to be able to separate this particular activity from his actual mental state or capacity just shows how directly and simply this disrupts our sense of what a person is.
