It's lovely, and lots of fun. But there's (at least on my system) a perceptible timing error at the end of the loops, which seems a shame given the effort that's gone into the thing...

I could leave this on shuffle for hours.

BucketOBees, I have had it on shuffle since it was posted here, and it hasn't gotten old yet.

My only wish is that I wasn't so satisfied of me...

Make sure you unlock the other two bridges ("bonuses", top right) to add a little variety to shuffle mode.

I'd love to see other artists make music machines like this, with a handful of compatible loops and some flash or HTML 5 to tie it together.

FYI the "right" combination to unlock the third bonus is the first one of each category.

there's thousands of these sorts of things ranging from shit to rather good implementations. I thought this was a cute implementation of a limited looping thing - but ultimately rather pointless as they all are.

how many possible combinations can there be of this thing?

If you don't care how many loops in each combination, then 2^N combinations where N is the number of loops, I think. If it's not that exactly, it's close to that.
