The Art of Pho by award-winning British illustrator and animator Julian Hanshaw is a moving and surreal story in interactive animation about a creature named Little Blue and his relationship with Ho Chi Minh City. In Vietnam's bustling capital Little Blue learns to master the art of making Pho - Vietnam's ubiquitous national noodle dish.

This graphic novel adds the dimensions of sound, music, animation and interactivity to Hanshaw's art and features 8 episodes.

Cool link so far, but Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, not HCMC.

Hanoi is only the political capitol, a Google search clearly shows HCMC gets the blue ribbon for bustling...

I know that renaming cities is one of the spoils of winning a war, and, thinking impartially, the current regime's founder and President for 20+ years deserved a big-time tribute, BUT... can't we just let Saigons be Saigons?

To be honest, I don't know any Vietnamese person who calls Saigon Ho Chi Minh City but then again, my family was on the losing side of that argument.

How rude - chopsticks in the bowl on the loading screen (as opposed to resting on top)!

Mrs. Machine uses HCMC in official documentation, but her family (which still lives in Vietnam and did not expatriate) uses Sai Gon in daily use, as do most businesses in the city.

And where's the spoon?

That was pleasant but I'm quite surprised they were incorrectly pronouncing phở bò (as well as having incorrect diacriticals most of the time). Though, I did like the added touch of the 333 breweries.

When in Vietnam, regardless of location (though my time is mostly spent in Hanoi), I heard both Saigon and Ho Chi Minh. In my conversations, I chose whichever had already been spoken. On flights, it's always Ho Chi Minh City. In the US, I mostly hear Saigon except when talking to exchange students. They tend to use Saigon and Ho Chi Minh City interchangeably.

For the longest time, I didn't understand why people like soup: it just wasn't that appealing to me. Then I tried pho and fell in love.

Favorited because I love pho. Can't look at the link on my device, but I'm sure it's awesome.
