You've got to be kidding - there wasn't enough *time* to have sex (for all the unemployed, there is now, but that's not the point) plus the male-female ratio meant that there were not enough girls to go around.

Methinks this book will be filled with a lot of cyber-fantasy cooked up in the middle of all-nighters before product releases.

is anyone (in the dot-com industry or otherwise) even interested in this sort of codswallop anymore?

the bonfire of the banalities indeed.

laz-e-boy, you worked at the wrong (or right?) company. That said, I will agree with you about the dearth of women in the industry, although they tend to be highly concentrated in the areas of Marketing and HR.

Hmm..

"Sex in Silicon Valley"

Well.. If "Silicon Valley" is the cleavage of a female who
has implants, then sex in silicon valley would be.. umm..
yeah.. I'll leave it at that. You make your own conclusion.

sex, yes, in mexican minimum wage workers' homes; they have lots of kids and they can't afford artificial insemination.

and in case you haven't noticed, 'downtown' san jose is a shit hole; i wish i'd never seen it.

Irony is dead, but sarcasm lives! At least, I hope that's sarcasm...if not, I find that comment insulting. Some minimum-wage workers live on floors or spend two hours driving in from central California. Doesn't sound like there would be much time left over for sex.

Downtown San Jose doesn't make it easy for tourists, but there are a few worthwhile places left. Let me know the next time you're in town, and I'll show you the sights.
