For female armor, see if the local hobby store is throwing out any torn strips of fabric

See this is why people play as mages and clerics, voluminous robes are less time consuming.

For female armor

Interestingly enough, this *is* "female armor".

For this project I'll be building the female "Ancient Nord Helmet" (also called the female Draugr helmet) from Skyrim.

The funny thing about most videogame armor is that it makes traditional RPG armor look almost plausible.

I'm pretty sure that once you had the knack, steel, a leather mallet and a planishing hammer would be faster.
