Have You Seen This Man?

Have You Seen This Man? Where is the Vice President of the United States? In the past, the VP was largely a non-actor; waiting in the wings for something bad to happen. However VP RC has hardly been that to President Bush. Is he "hiding," purely for security reasons, or is something else going on?

Weird: as I was hitting the Post Button, Radio Imus announced he's appearing at the WTC site this morning (not to self: gotta post faster).

Didn't you get the memo? He died a month ago and they trot out a look-alike occasionally to maintain the pretense of his existence. Apparently, the American public couldn't "handle" a normal path of succession and would "panic" given the "difficult" nature of these times.

OR

Don't look at the man behind the curtain.

Haven't we been over this already, and had some new material to discuss as well?

Most informed people believe the VP is the brains behind the operation. The PR handlers probably decided that for the P to appear decisive and in-charge that the VP better not be seen or heard so that all of the emphasis is on the P.

A BETTER discussion topic would be Bush's unusual word choices for this attack, such as "homeland defense" and "evil doers." Hmmm, perhaps terorororists is too difficult to pronounce.

"Cheney last week spent four days working at a secret, secure location during the opening days of U.S.-led airstrikes on Afghanistan. The vice president made an unpublicized trip to his home state of Wyoming for a reunion of friends the last weekend in September..." Did he fly commercial?

I heard he was off to the wizard to try and get a heart. Just rumor at this point, I'll try to confirm the details later.

No, no, no. Cheney parachuted into Afghanistan with a squad of Delta Force commandos. He's orchestrating the capture of bin Laden from there. Of course, they had to drop in some extra batteries for his pacemaker. Those 30 km humps with a 90 lb. pack really drain 'em fast.

You mean Dick Cheney is the mastermind responsible for the Sep 11th attacks, in order to get the US military to bomb the Taliban out of Afghanistan so his oil-buddies can put in their precious pipeline?

Bush's unusual word choices for this attack, such as "homeland defense" and "evil doers."

Every time I hear Dubya saying "evil-doers" I think he's saying "evil dudes". Puts a nice little Bill and Ted's spin on the whole thing.

And there is great advice for humanity in that film:

"Be excellent to each other"

It's really as simple as that sometimes.
