I think that Frasermoo was attempting some sort of freeform artistic expression there, like the old "event" art.
In any event, it's good to see that Uncle Booger was thoughtful enough to patent his pooper. There's nothing worse than inventing a perfectly good defecation innovation then having The Man (here, defined as American Standard) come steal it from you.
