All Star Celebrity Bowling: Over the last two months, Chris Hardwick and the folks over at The Nerdist have hosted a charity bowling tournament with some of their famous friends. The series has been hugely addictive and very entertaining. posted by quin (10 comments total) 9 users marked this as a favorite

The way he keeps showing up in Metafilter posts lately it's like Jon Hamm is trying to make me fall in love with him.

I wonder how many stars know coming in, that, when it comes to bowling, Hardwick is kind of a ringer for Team Nerdist.

I've watched a few of these - quite funny. Maybe he'll succeed where that Microsoft exec failed and make bowling hip again, or maybe hip for the first time. Was bowling ever cool?

Yeah, the bowling is funny, but everybody knows the best thing on the Nerdist channel is those short clips of adorable fuzzy animals exploding randomly.

Has there been any data about how YouTube's plan to pump money into a few big YouTube folks like Hardwick, VlogBros, etc has panned out financially?

Am I alone in wanting to marry Chloe Dykstra?

I miss the dispute resolution and Minnesota-themed humor of Let's Bowl!

I like Chris Hardwick, but I didn't think a bowling show would be that interesting. Delighted to be wrong.

I read this as "All Star Celebrity Howling." That would be awesome too. For a while.

That's a beautiful little bowling alley they have inside the Hollywood Roosevelt. Anyone ever bowl there? I might have to hit it up next time I'm in town.

(Without trying to derail from the bowling), I was delighted to learn that Chris Hardwick was one half of Hard and Phirm (with Mike Phirman), whose Rodeohead - a bluegrass medley of Radiohead songs - has been a long-time favourite parody of mine!

Back to the bowling show - (MeFi's own) Adam Savage saying "shit!" just adds another facet to his ever-growing legend...

Chris Hardwick's father was a professional bowler and still owns a bowling alley in Memphis. I drive by it on the way home from work.
