I recognised a few as British comedians. Josie Long (wasn't she at MaxFunCon?) is a standup comic, Isy Suttie was on Peep Show (among other things), I remember Dawn Porter made some documentaries a while back, the rest I don't know but I'm guessing they do the same sort of things. posted by atrazine at 4:23 AM on June 8, 2012

I agree that most are probably on the young side, but no way are they even mostly American. There is plenty of xenophobic, racist, homophobic, misogynistic hate to go around. No country has cornered the market on hate to my knowledge. posted by Seymour Zamboni at 7:03 AM on June 8, 2012 [4 favorites]

IIRC, Youtube updates likes/dislikes immediately, but view counts are updated once per day.

No idea of how they work things, but I just refreshed the page here at 03:21 Australian Eastern Time, and it's now 18,222 views, 3469 likes, 52 dislikes.
As an assumption I would expect that some amount of those dislikes are from the very people that the song is calling out. Obviously not 100%, but I'd estimate a fair proportion. Ignoring views, if they are indeed updated at a different schedule to likes/dislikes (and why not, youtube's "related video" algorithm is seeming increasingly wonky if not out right broken to me) the ratio of the earlier view by my fellow Philosopher Dirtbike would be 51.9 likes per dislike. From my data the equivalent would be 66.712 (to 3 decimal points). Yet taking into account views, as proportion of views the former (for 'like') is 315.502%, (something to do with Levi jeans? Or would the fact that it is also a 3 decimal approximation not supportive of such claims) while for the later it would be 19.037% (3 decimal points).
I have no idea about what those numbers mean apart from that it is a long weekend, I've just quit smoking, and I may have consumed some amount of brnady.

This was fun, but I was distracted because my brain kept trying to parse whether or not the singer's face was phase-shifting between Allisons Brie and Hannegin.
Also IIRC, when a youtube video gets too many views all at once, it errors out to read 329 views. posted by Uther Bentrazor at 11:44 AM on June 8, 2012
