Yeah, a lot of these links are dead. The only ones that seem to work are the links to the Archive.org and the public domain Hitchcock movies. Based on some of the URLs, I am going to guess that this was put together 3 or more years ago.

It looks like this is just a spammy aggregator for movies on Youtube and Archive.org and the less-legitimate mubi.com. For what it's worth, it's probably better to go to the source on Archive.org, since their collection actually has over 4,500 movies to watch for free.

the less-legitimate mubi.com. Uh, Mubi.com is an arthouse streaming service and it's about as legit as it gets. I've had a membership for years, and it's great. Netflix may have more titles, but only Mubi commissions its own Apichatpong Weerasethakul film.

"Title" + " torrent" in your browser's search bar works pretty well, too. Bonus: the number of copyright-free works available that way is much greater than 500.

Archive.org ... has over 4,500 movies The value in sites like this one is (potentially) not in the quantity but in the filtering of what's worth watching. I find "50 top ..." sites generally more useful than "1000 top ...". Increasingly true over time as more and more options accumulate. (An iPod with 20,000 songs on it has how many worth hearing more than once?) E.g. I've read Forster's prescient 'Machine Stops' but didn't know about the BBC production.

I didn't know there was a cartoon version of Animal Farm. I quite enjoyed that, although the "happy ending" was a bit of a disappointing change from the original novel.

I'm going to take this as a reminder to finally watch the BBC version of "1984." Probably a good thing to do for a guy with the slogans of the party tattooed on his back. Also, I really wish that someone would add a nicer version of "He Walked By Night." It's one of the most fantastically-shot film noirs and these low-res uploads just do not do it justice. Can't speak for the various DVD's, but TCM was showing a very nice copy at one point.
