Cool. I had no idea Condoleezza Rice got an oil tanker named after her!
Any bets on names for the upcoming trans-Afghanistan oil pipeline?

We SHELL not falter in our attempt to reach an AMOCOable solution. However, the Persian GULF is too important to our security for these terrorists to ever be EXXONerated. We must MOBILize all resources against them. CHEVRONald Reagan Memorial Pipeline sounds good to me.

This wouldn't be because of a relationship to an oil company, would it?

Chevron christened the Condoleezza Rice, a 136,000 deadweight-ton

That's just funny. Emphasis mine.

Wait a minute...

Some of the people in the Bush Ad are affiliated with oil companies?

Don't tell the dittoheads, they think they're in the White House because they're "adults" and the "adults are in charge now".

Whoa, I said dittoheads "think", 'scuse me.

Ms Rice was on the Board of Directors at Chevron in the late 80's/early 90's.

Common practice to name their tankers after former execs and board members. Their is a George Schulz (fmr board member) as well.

Anonymous???

Why, you're welcome, mike.

You can put the thesaurus down now and go back to the radio for further instructions.

Now Exxon, on the other hand, decreed that, following the Exxon Valdez disaster, no Exxon tanker was to have the word EXXON as part of the vessel's name. This was to minimise the damage to the company's reputation the next time they dropped 37,000 tonnes of crude oil into a pristine wilderness. (way to drag the thread off topic - sorry!)
