Robocop 2 is largely a lifeless misfire of a movie, but I love the next-generation Robocop he created for it - that thing had more character than most of the actors.

And ED 209 in the previous movie is his as well, of course.

You cannot post about Phil Tippett and not link to this screencap from the Jurassic Park credits.

I've had the incredible fortune to have worked with Mr. Tippet on several occasions over the past near 30 years and my take away is that he is the most open-minded, and adaptive, old schooler in the vfx biz, period.

The editor on those interviews videos made an unforgivable error: they show Tippett working with cardboard as he's starting to mock up a character, and then we never get to see it finished. So frustrating. Either don't show the start, or show us the finish! But then again, maybe that was no accident... I've been following the progress of Mad God with interest, but based on the interview it kinda seems like Tippett doesn't expect to finish the darn movie within his lifetime. So maybe the interview segment reflected that, giving us just a taste of the creative process but no more. I understand the appeal of working on a project just because you find it personally fulfilling, but some of us really want to see this movie.
