Well fuck.
That was about One Billion Percent better than I expected.

Hell, "The Day the Music Died" is probably the best mash-up I have heard in 15 years. Even with autotune.

You, sir, have excellent taste.

Oh man, I left Europe so I *wouldn't* be exposed to sentimental composite dance music anymore. Thanks a lot, Internet.

First link I clicked this morning... woke me up better than my cup of coffee.

Whats the story on Mashup-Germany? Never heard of them before but I like what I'm hearing now.

Aaah. This is both sufficiently accomplished and awkward to remind me of that seminal magnum opus of musical arrangement: Hooked on Classics.

Christ, think what they'd have done to pitchy, expressive 12-year-old Michael Jackson's voice in the 21st century.

Rock of Ages wipes the floor with the two other mashups. Brilliant.

From the same person who did Rock of Ages, In the Mood for Some Killing is quite nice.

Of the same genre (but don't call it mashup) is Soundhog (previously).

Lots of links to his stuff on the blog above, recommended as an introduction is the Liquid Radio mix (about 30 mins) linked to in the August 16, 2011 entry - who'd have thought Einstein a Go Go and Danii Minogue would mix so well?
