The Aikiu's new music video "Pieces of Gold" cleverly transforms porn actors into... very intense studio musicians.

What does one do about copyrights in this situation?

(sorry; libido dead, only legalistic now)

Pretty sure all of these works are in the pubic domain.

Copyrights for porn work just like copyrights for anything else. In fact, even illegal porn still receives copyright protection in the U.S., at least.

I've seen all of the heterosexual porn, and I haven't seen these clips.

Who will think of the poor adult entertainment industry?

I prefer the the shorter version.

Interestingly how much of it comes from apparently vintage gay porn.

Also all the music needs is some feathered hair, shiny pants and angst about nuclear war.

Copyrights for porn work just like copyrights for anything else.

In partial explanation of my previous comment; some people keep their copyrights up to date and others don't. I was engaged as an expert witness on the side of Vanessa Del Rio. She did keep her copyrights intact. But almost nobody else did, so there was a proliferation of Classic Porn compilations, that included Vanessa Del Rio. My job was to purchase such compilations on or around 42nd Street, keep the receipts, watch them for her appearances, and then report back to her law offices. I got paid $200 an hour for that work. Mainly because I am a seasoned witness, and might have been called to testify. But watching porn was my weirdest well-paid gig.

Not likely. You would indeed have to pay me to watch Vanessa Del Rio in action.

I can't hear anything described as "very intense" without immediately thinking of Mark Gormley.

There's a local drummer that my friends refer to as O-face because of his ... intensity ... behind the drums.

Which suddenly makes so much more sense.

Most of them probably look a lot different fifteen or twenty years later.

Best use of split screen ever. Also, this is also the most that anyone watching these videos have ever looked at the actor's faces, I would be guessing.
