It was the electric litterbox. Okay, it started out when we were rescuing this tribe of cats from down the street, when the Cat-hoarder Lady moved away. I managed to catch over a dozen of them. We took them to the vet--got them fixed, and fixed them up with shots and de-flea stuff--then turned them loose in our back yard. We put food out every night, and watched them come in for chow. They were a lively, bunch, and actually pretty friendly for a herd of cats that had been feral for at least three generations. After a while most of them drifted down the hill to the creek--wild kittys can make a good living on this hillside. Six of them still live here. Wait....the electric litterbox....well you just sort of had to be there.
