Well-made, funny, but what was up with that little manifesto at the end?

Funny. And really well executed.

Fans of this sort of thing may also enjoy the fan-tastic short film Batman Dead End.

This is our first attempt on stop motion.

Technically impressive, but devoid of any interesting ideas.

Funny you should say that, dgaicun... one of the comments from vimeo:

great looking piece devoid of any story - you'll be working in Hollywood very, very soon!

Reminded me of a similar action figure stop motion: Iron Man vs. Bruce Lee

The really hilarious part for me is when the show-off clown goon puts his hands together and starts stamping his foot. That's what Taoist mediums do to call down gods to possess them.

This is our first attempt on stop motion.

But, to clarify, not even remotely their first animation.

And it's definitely wok of fandom, which sort of makes the content of the work beside the point, since the fan imagines the audience extrapolating backstory from canon.

A work of fandom. I would have just corrected the typo but the idea of a bunch of Batman toys gettin' all stirred up in a wok is amusing.

Batman: Puppet Master is an ambitious fan film set between TDK and TDKR.

Some people were saying that TDKR felt like it should have been two films; Puppet Master feels like it could have been the first one. This story with Agent Nigma pursuing the newly ostracized Batman, plus the introduction of Catwoman and their antagonistic relationship... Nigma would end up at Arkham, and the film could end with Bane's airplane stunt, paving the way for a more focused TDNR, perhaps.

Well, the Bane fight was certainly more interesting than either of the slugfests from the movie. And this Bane never talks, so that's another plus.

The music probably could've been much, much louder.

And Batman should probably go see Darth Maul's rehab guy. He's pretty good.
