Yes, powdered milk and confectioners sugar are ingredients in the chik-fil-a breading.

I was also surprised to hear a few of the ingredients. I had to do some kinda weird googling to confirm that some of them even existed.

He's got excellent flow.

Much like I do after eating at Chick-fil-A.

Hey-Ohhhhhhhh!

"Religious groups don't have to marry same sex couples. They just can't tell other religious people what to believe about same sex couples either. Support religious freedom of conscience; support same sex marriages."

Youtube commenters, sometimes you exceed expectations.

This is only the second video of his I've seen. He was cooking in both. I can get with that.

Apropos.

I really love his "Dazed and Confused" recap. Great stuff.

OmieWise: if you happen to have a thing for rappers cooking, don't miss Action Bronson's series "Action in the Kitchen." It's oddly hilarious.

Before this entire controversy, being from Canada I had never heard of Chik-a-Fil or whatever. Now my son is asking me about it.

Great marketing!

Egg andabbubpapwaddabable with a whisk? Can anyone translate?

All I got out of this is that Mitt Romney gave five guys a Dutch Oven and I'm okay with that.

Can anyone translate?

"...now put the egg and the milk and a smidgen of water a pickle baby and give it a whisk," but don't quote me on that.

Not to mention "Does it need a secret ingredient? Of course it does-- one teaspoon of Rick Santorum's blood."

Oh, thank gods it's just blood.

And dont forget Thirstin Howl III's jail recipes series, if you're looking for rappers and cooking.

If you want to read the recipe and ingredient list rather than listen to the flow, the full recipe is in the video description...

full recipe is in the video description

Hmmm. Slight discrepancy re: amount of blood. I hope that doesn't throw off the flavor.

Not gay, vegetarian, and not really a rap fan, but I love this man.

Serious Eats also has a recipe.

I read through the Serious Eats one a couple of weeks ago while gearing up for the fireworks festival.* The one thing he pointed out that I hadn't tried before was dropping little dots of milk in the seasoned flour, then working it around with your fingers. You end up with little dots of flour/milk balls that stick to the chicken, and end up as little bits of crispy fried chicken happiness. Good stuff.

*Every year, I cut up roughly 12-14 chicken breasts and make fried chicken strips for the fireworks festival we go to. We get there to save a spot around noon, drink beer and eat chicken all day until the sun goes down and the fireworks start. Sure, there's no 1812 Overture, but the fireworks display lasts about an hour.

Good stuff. Kinda reminds me of Strick9, who also shared an interesting recipe some time ago.

I must be getting really, really old, because the number of 'holy shit, I live in the future' moments I've experiences is increasing rapidly.

Fast food chain is homophobic. (That's odd, but OK.)

Protesters gather outside fast food chain to support them. (Still odd, but still OK. We're not in Futurama territory yet.)

As a counter protest, some guy doesn't stand around waving a sign of his own. He doesn't tell everybody he's boycotting the chain. (What does he do, then?)

He uses a portable fucking digital studio and a personal supercomputer to transmit a high definition video of himself rapping about how to replicate said fast food chain's signature dish at home to a global computer network. Hundreds of thousands of people see it. Thousands of them commence an online debate about the video. (Wait...what?)

This is a wholly unremarkable achievement. The two minute video represents just 0.04 per cent of the total time of similar video content uploaded every minute. Some videos have tens of millions of viewers. Some videos are remixed by international celebrities into new videos. You can watch them on a portable handheld wireless supercomputer. Children own such computers. Some own more than one... (I need to lie down.)
