Horrifying indeed!

Damn. Being seven never looked so good.

If we're lucky, we'll get to see that.

I'm exhausted from trying to listen so fast.

Related (sadly, this came out too late for me - I was 25)

Well that cured me of any desire to grow-up, I'm 39.

I'd rather have an alien growing inside my chest.

You gotta listen at least twice; the sound design is amazing.

If they'd shown me that at 10 I'd have jumped off a cliff.

A cute, animated version of menstruation and ejaculation, before I'm fully caffeinated this morning. What else will today bring?

I believe I recognize the voice from a South African commercial. Maybe same animator as well.

This is hysterical. Also maybe educational? Could you imagine showing something like this in the United States? People would totally lose their shit.

Great concept, fun animation.

Please, though, no one else ever ever ever copy RadioLab's chopping-out-all-spaces-between-phrases editing technique. Ever.

So someone in Holland just figured out what the subtext in Cronenberg's The Fly is all about?

This needs to show an array of each sex experiencing that clusterfuck together and the uneven distribution of genetic luck that results in order to capture the true horror potential.

Body Horror.

I saw this exhibit last year and it was really different than anything you'd see in the states. It was right next to a display of sex positions - like about 3 dozen little posable dolls doin it. There was a "tongue kissing" thing where each person could put their arm into a puppet tongue and they could bump them together. I have a picture somewhere of a father/daughter doing this, it was pretty funny. Basically there was a half of a floor devoted to being a sex-ed plaza of surprising frankness. I liked it.

Nelson, check out this crazy shit. Apparently KNTV is a popular kiddie show in the UK! The mind reels.

Too much reality. Give me mutant power metaphors.

I used to say, thank god puberty only happens once ... but then I learned you have to go through it again with your child. Ack. Good luck, parents everywhere.

It all happened very steadily and non-alarmingly, for me. No zits, no violent growth spurts, no warbling breaking of the voice, just... gradual. There was a hell of a lot of wanking, though, I do remember that. For a while there it was the only way to get through the day. Still is, come to think of it.

Here's another song about coming of age that influenced a whole generation of American children

And here's one that in the light of my previous comment I think I can safely say, yes, well, never mind.
