This is what the Internet was made for. We can all go home now. posted by egypturnash at 4:49 PM on September 16, 2012 [11 favorites]
One day I was stuck in traffic in Montreal, and a guy cut me off pretty harshly. So of course, I flipped him the bird. Karma being what it is, of course I came window to window with this guy a few minutes later. He looks over at me and says "You should take that finger, and put it in your bum!"
I suspect that if that video had continued for another two minutes, it would have become so fractally-dense with layered willy/bum imagery that it would have triggered an irreversible psycho-memetic mutation wave, and then all life on Earth would turn into willies, bums, or some kind of unimaginable gibbering willy/bum chimera.
Campaign videos are certainly getting stranger as we approach November. posted by TwelveTwo at 5:23 PM on September 16, 2012 [24 favorites]

The word 'inane' just doesn't do it justice. If it sticks in my head I'm gonna sue. Cartman meets Dada. Or something. Was it good? I will never know. posted by Monkeymoo at 6:32 PM on September 16, 2012
I assume this is the result of an experiment to determine what weebl-stuff would be like without the humor, musical talent or animation skill. posted by George_Spiggott at 6:37 PM on September 16, 2012 [1 favorite]

To paraphrase JBS Haldane, the acceptance of bums and willies will pass through four stages:
1. Why does this exist? Why?
2. This is art. I mean fart.
3. Shades of Brad Neely and/or weebl
4. I want to slow this down to examine each and every frame. Minutely.

There is much to love about this video, but on reflection I think my favourite thing is that the wasp shows remorse. posted by pont at 7:32 PM on September 16, 2012 [2 favorites]
My favourite thing is how he puts the wasp into his own bum, then blames the wasp for stinging him. What was he expecting to happen? posted by bewilderbeast at 7:48 PM on September 16, 2012

Shades of Brad Neely there.
In no sense is this Neely-esque, besides that they're both animated. posted by You Should See the Other Guy at 8:17 PM on September 16, 2012

Also, the style in which they are animated, and drawn, and coloured, is very similar. Also, they are both set to music. Also, the style of the music to which they are set is very similar.
It's pretty fucking Neely-esque.

the only good thing about this video is that the animation wasn't full blown cyriak. God help us all if he ever does a take on it. posted by 0bs01337 at 12:17 AM on September 17, 2012
There are shaded places in the sharp corners of the internet. There are shadowed alleys of so many digital slums. Places where neither cowards nor no men of law dare tread. Places where no words are exchanged for fear of making a sound. There are places where a fool may find a lost and desolate Geocities page. A page which was lost not like keys, but lost like a soul. There, and there alone, you may find cyriak porn. And lost you will become, lost not like keys, but like a mind. posted by TwelveTwo at 12:30 AM on September 17, 2012

Okay. This morning in the shower I found myself chanting "Willy Bum Bum Bum Bum," and it hit me. This thing reminds me of being very young and messing around with language, stringing words together and experimenting with them just for the pleasure of making silly sounds. Hours were spent with friends slinging nonsense verses at each other and laughing at the results. And if the words had a bit of shock value, all the better to make our parents' eyes wide if they overheard!
So that's why I like this. It's sheer silly fun and the drawings are perfect--too stylized to offend, yet graphic enough to elicit a response, but clearly never meant to be taken seriously.
Watching this made me feel like a naughty kid again. Which felt good. So thanks for posting! posted by kinnakeet at 5:26 AM on September 17, 2012 [5 favorites]
