Luckily, this is a double, so we don't have to do this.

Calling someone a “hipster” is a license to spew all kinds of demented hate.

Oops. Wrong forum.

Man, this hipster thing has been going on for, like, 10 years at this point. Can't we find a new youth subculture to hate indiscriminately?

I love hating youth subcultures. I keep getting older, they stay the same age.

So basically these articles are about anyone under the age of 35? Because at this point, that's what the generic term has come to represent.

The last time I checked, you needed to be really poor to qualify for food stamps (especially if you're single), and the food stamps themselves didn't provide for a whole heck of a lot.

Unless they're lying about their income, I find it completely unfathomable that anybody would chose to put themselves in a position where they qualified for any of the American social welfare programs.

Sorry, but hating somebody for being on food stamps is just about as rational as hating someone for being blind.
