Shtone mad for shpeed. The accent's what makes it.
In reading 19th-century American literature, I have always stumbled on the slang term "b'hoys," which was an Irish-American catchword at the time. No matter how many recordings of actual Irish accents I heard, I could never understand what that word was supposed to sound like.
Now, because of a Flash-animated turtle, I do. Internet, will you never cease to amaze me.

Truly wish this video had the Youtube closed captioning option. Not because I think it would help me understand WTF they're saying, but just for added levels of hilarity.

The turtles are supposed to have west (or whesht) of Ireland accents. Are You Looking At Me? is a north/west Dublin accent - the kind of person who (stereotypically) would say things like:
D: You lookin' at me buurd?
You: What? No!
D: You sayin' she's ugly?
Where I'm from is generally a mixture of this, this, and this (guy on the right), depending on age, background, and location in a ten mile radius.

These are terrific! kersplunk, I lived in Dublin for 2006-07 and was back for a month in Summer 2011. The first time around, I got a "You want yer teeth in a bag!" once when lookin' at someone too long on Cork Street... I could never get over how the way to look tough for a "scanger" looked like a Florida retiree in USian terms.
These videos make me want to be back in Ireland. We have a good friend in Limerick, so maybe we can visit there next summer...
