"We are told that when Obama left the stage that night, he was feeling good. That's terrifying."

With one month to go until the US presidential election, the race is looking much closer than it was just a few days ago. Last night, President Obama told donors that the only way he can win is "if everybody is almost obsessive for the next 29 days." Last week's debate seems to have erased the lead the president held; Andrew Sullivan thinks that debate, in fact, might have cost Obama the race. A fellow pundit wonders whether or not he even wants the job anymore.

This post was deleted for the following reason: There's been a bunch of active discussion of this stuff in the thread from a few days ago, maybe keep it there. -- cortex

Andrew Sullivan thinks?!? This changes everything.

Talk about too little too late. The time to win this election was 3 years ago, when he was failing to enact the policies his base wanted.

Shouldn't this go in the existing thread? There's already ample discussion there on Andrew Sulivan's reaction.

Does anyone have a link to a good roundup of what exactly he's doing wrong in these debates? I haven't been able to catch them yet.
