koeselitz: Dog-shaming, as a conception, is a pernicious and awful thing. Shame is an obnoxious enough thing without our trying to spread it to other species which are happily innocent of it. Yes, even as a joke. Some things shouldn't be joked about.
But as with all terrible things that involve incredibly cute pictures and videos of wonderful dogs, dog-shaming will probably continue, because it is absolutely impossible to be properly stern and disapproving in the face of someone as awesome as Maymo.
yath: Dogs do feel shame, and they feel bad when you reprimand them, and even as a cat person I am not down with punishing them as a form of entertainment.
