I always wonder how long these tumblrs last. Tumblr is the home of one-hit-wonder blogs. It's what happens when you make it really easy to start a blog. Sort of like Geocities, but prettier for the most part. And lest I forget, oooh kitties.

Ah, the good ole days, back before society's standards of beauty became wholly unrealistic. I mean, look at these cats, they look like the cat-next-door, not some Fancy Feast commercial starlets appearing on the cover of Cat Fancy. These are what real cats look like. I know that you're making a joke - but I recently was googling images of the Three Graces (wanted to see if I could find a guide to who was who in Botticelli's Three Graces and Venus), and I was struck by how very plump the goddesses were. It wasn't just a passing fashion, as I'd thought before - for hundreds of years (Botticelli is 1400s, you see these images into the 1700s) goddesses and other idealised women had heavy amounts of fat and cellulite. In comparison, the pin-up girls are skinny :)
