"Con Bro Chill is a band with my brother and my two best buds. We just released a new album called 3D Music. We just went on a tour in the off-season in Boston. We have a big Internet presence. We're totally goofy and fun. It kind of started as some lacrosse videos that we put up. It's just a character that I play this[sic] is pretty spazzy and ridiculous and kind of developed into where we wanted it to go into music."

Connor Martin earned the nickname "Con Bro Chill" while playing lacrosse at Chapman University. He was drafted by Major League Lacrosse's Denver Outlaws and now plays for the expansion team the Ohio Machine. For fun, he started making goofy dance tracks. His musical side career is no secret in the lacrosse community, though the reactions there have been mixed. With Con Bro Chill's unique set of dance moves, fashion, and their own take on their demographic's slang, with terms like "Broseidon" and "broverload", it's almost hard to tell if they're ironic or sincere. Their tracks could be described as dance party music, often with a message. The band started with "Come To My Party" in December 2009. "Power Happy" features a Merry Pranksters-style party bus and day-glo outfits, not to mention lacrosse sticks and skateboards. "Respect Your Partner" exhorts listeners to dance in more pure ways, as people did at school dances "when the Pilgrims were in charge." "Partied Out" informs us about partying too hard: "If you party on the weekends every day, you're gonna get partied out." The video features Tom and Gary's Decentralized Dance Party (previously), with "2,000 people under a bridge in Portland".

Small confession is that I love this sort of crappy recorded-digitally-at-every-level dance music. Whether it's Aqua, Rednex, Toy Box, or Venga Boys, I love this stuff to death. But I completely, utterly, totally understand why people wouldn't like it at all. Truly one of the worst parts of my character. Now I'm going to make every living thing around me for 2000 feet regret being alive. Excuse me.

It's not really the kind of music I listen to, though watching these videos I realize I've heard a few of their songs before. But with this kind of thing I'm never quite sure what parts are serious and what parts are self-consciously ironic, as the FPP mentions.

I don't like the name of this band. It kind of reads to me like "Con Bro Chili," and that's just gross. I also don't like the name (or style) of LMFAO. I do like OK Go and Freddy Mercury.
