Josh Sundquist in costume as the leg lamp from the 1983 movie A Christmas Story this Halloween.

Sundquist, a former Paralympic skier who lost his left leg to cancer as a child, has in past years dressed as a pirate and a gingerbread man with his leg bitten off.

I wouldn't wish this on myself or anyone, but it's got to be a moment when people try to figure out how you're making it look like you've only got one leg...

Quite possibly the best one legged lamp costume worn by an amputee in the history of non-tumblr Halloween blog posts.

I love it when people can use their real life traits into an awesome costume.

Also good at this was that guy who dressed up in a different costume every day to send his kid off to school.

This one went viral as well recently: last year, Carter's father built him an ice-cream-truck costume for his wheelchair
And it also showed up here: 20 creative costume ideas for people in wheelchairs

Better to light one candle become a one-legged lamp than to curse the darkness.

Seems like he'd be a great guy to use in the classic Keith Moon/Vivian Stanshall trousers prank.
