I love this, it'll take me hours to go through all of it. Question, many of these bikes don't have a cable coming from the throttle side handlebar grip. Is it hidden inside the bar tube, or do they have some other means of actuating the throttle?

It makes me a little glum that most of these custom bikes are the product of having endless amounts of loving attention lavished on rotten old bikes from the English-speaking world, but I suppose you have a lot of time for custom work when your bike is constantly broken down (and I'm not just a motobigot—I've got a '72 Daytona, so I'm coming from a place of experience). Still, nothing ruins a good custom job for me more effectively than seeing the clichéd turd of a V-twin dangling leadenly there amid all that craftsmanship, ready to potato-potato-potato in a blustering blowhard homage to the less-than-finest engineering of the thirties. Mind you, de gustibus non est disputandum, so to each their own, but man, having one of those damn things next to you at a light is like overhearing dental work on a dinosaur. Beyond the motorcycles at that site, I love that you can pick out a Deutsch-Bonnet instantaneously from a millisecond-long glance at its wheels. If there were ever sexier brake drums made, I have yet to see them. When I'm a wildly successful author, I will refuse to drive in anything but a Panhard 24BT. Beyond being one of the most beautiful cars yet conceived, it sounds like boxer heaven and has those perfect externalized finned drums. Sigh. Clearly, I lean esoteric.

Someone please explain, maybe from an engineer's or a mechanic's perspective, how much freedom bikes like these express, or offer. Like, engine design-wise, i.e. functional or usability design-wise. I can only surmise such freedom. But I like freedom. And am interested in it.
