OS Google searchesare pretty helpful when you're looking for Mac or Linux-specific info, and they each come with their own Google logo.

Damn, if any purely-Internet business deserved respect, Google is it. Their usefulness is far beyond any other free service.

Google is cool. There are a few other specialty searches that I know of: the University Search and the US Government Search.

There are also Google "sites" in other languages: Afrikaans, Albanian, Bengali; Bangla, Bork, bork, bork!, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Elmer Fudd, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hacker, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Malayalam, Nepali, Norwegian, Pig Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Telugu, Turkish, Ukranian, and Welsh.

Google has a few national searches: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and UK.

Finally, for those that don't know, Google has three indexes that fluctuate as the primary index when Google is updating: http://www1.google.com/, http://www2.google.com/ and http://www3.google.com/.

I mean a new usage of it (doh!).

It actually means to deliver a googly in cricket, apparently.
