Clearly, these are photobombs. The only question is who is being bombed -- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson by the soft autumn leaves of Kilbride, ON, or Kilbride, ON by the cheery, toothful smile of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson?

The question isn't "DO YOU LIKE Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson?", the question is "HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson?"

As to when I realized the internet wasn't just for freaks; well, I'm still not sure it isn't.

From my profile page, unchanged since 2002. Still no need to update it, I see.

I realize this is totally missing the point, and I agree that this site is both hilarious and awesome, but: what is with these "wallpapers" being so small? I downloaded the tulip one, and when I set it as my wallpaper, it's, like... tiny.

These SEO weasels do not seem to understand how computer wallpaper works. Sadface.

You need to change your resolution, yo.
680x480 should do it.
You can find that on your Windows 95 desktop by using right click, then desktop...

I clicked through fully expecting that these would be genuine.

Whatever else you might say about DTRJ, he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously, and looks to be having a genuinely good time doing his thing. I can easily see him being down with fields of tulips, autumn leaves, or what have you.

I have met Dwayne. He struck me as a genuinely good guy and grateful for the, frankly, excellent hand life has dealt him.

I love how the internet is continuously in love with Republican action heroes.

This has exactly the same appeal as @horse_ebooks. I have a feeling that (perhaps sometime soon) robot-generated content will cease to seem amusingly zen and will simply overwhelm us with its crushing, depressing reality: meaning is cheap and shoddy and it was never worth having human thoughts or emotions in the first place.
posted by damehex at 11:43 PM on November 18, 2012

Uh, I follow the guy on twitter and I doubt a Republican action hero would say

@therock Lead us my friend.. #Obama2012 RT: @BarackObama: Four more years. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/A7EiDWcCYAAZT1D.jpg”

The Rock as The Hulk for halloween is definitely wallpaper worthy and the guy truly does seem to be pretty cool.

DTRJ is pretty pro-Bama judging from his Twitter history, Apocryphon. You don't need to be a conservative to appreciate mega-ripped dudes handing out drubbings.

Yes, he did speak at the 2000 RNC (with then-speaker Dennis Hastert) as part of WWE's Smackdown Your Vote campaign to get more 18 to 30 year olds to vote. He did the same thing at the DNC.
