What's cuter than a corgi in motion? A corgi lying completely inert. What's cuter than that? A corgi lying still so his owner can vacuum him.

I'm pretty sure these aren't doubles but I might be wrong.

That's definitely a beefier-than-normal Corgi, but not super uncommon. One of mine was close to 40 pounds, and it wasn't all fat, he was just plain "roomier." Also tolerated the vacuum a lot better than the feistier Basil.

I used to Dustbuster my rabbits during shedding season. They normally didn't like the sound of a vacuum, but when it came to shedding, I think they just kinda understood and cooperated. Ah, memories.

They tend to get fat if they don't get quite a bit of exercise, which is why they aren't ideal apartment dogs, despite their compact size. That one could definitely use a little less kibble. :) It's also a small vacuum cleaner, though. It's an overweight dog, not a gigantic one.

Speaking of sleeping positions, there is also The Dead Gopher Position which is a close relative of the legs up pose. (Named from a transmetropolitan comics where Spider sees his cat sleeping like that and says that it reminds him of a dead gopher.) Basically, animal asleep, on back, legs tucked in.

I was parking my car a few days ago and saw a woman and her corgi about 10 feet away. I yelled "Corgi!" (what else are you supposed to do?) The dog looked my way (must have heard me from inside the car) and came over to say hello with her owner after I got out. It made my day.

That is not a corgi flop. This is the corgi flop: Corgi Flop You have to admit that Corgi has excellent form. It looks like it should fly twenty feet but instead only goes about a foot before gravity kicks in. But with excellent form.

Because corgis are flipping awesome, that's why. Weird little joker dogs who just want to be taken seriously. Before my Cookie went paralyzed last year from IVDD (she can walk again after spinal surgery), she wanted nothing more than to be able to fly like the wind. She would have totally done that off the dock corgi flop. (I have to admit, that everytime I see the corgi go off the dock, I feel a little sad for the boy.) Nowadays the little princess gets carried down the stairs and picked up whenever she wants couch / bed time for fear of rupturing another disk. She's grudgingly come to accept that I will freak out whenever she does something strenuous like standing on two legs.
