So not only have I been listening to the wrong mix of Rock for Light for the last twenty years, I've been watching the wrong Charlie Brown's Christmas. Good grief.

love love love this.

Someone pointed it out in the Bad Brains thread the other day, I've probably watched it 10 times since then.

I know of Snoopy, but is this from a particular Christmas episode or somesuch? Please explain the fawning for a non-US person.

A Charlie Brown Christmas has aired every year since 1965.

Sys Rq: Thanks. Does the song have any particular meaning here, or is it just to contrast what the original sound is like?

You had me at 'pay to cum.'

I mean, yeah, the editing is spot on and it all syncs up well, but really, you could pair that track with a video of paint drying and I'd think it was awesome.

It's "Pay to Cum" by Bad Brains. It's, um, not in the original, no.

Well thanks to this, I've got "The Youth Are Getting Restless" going here, and the cats look nonplussed.

(I did not see this posted in the recent Bad Brains thread, I swear. It popped up on Twitter this morning and I posted it without checking that thread first. It was just too perfect.)

What's the lyrics to this? During the first few seconds of the music kicking in I rolled my eyes, but great video, good song, and most of all a snappy editing job where most people would fail.

What's the lyrics to this?

I make decision with precision
Lost inside this manned collision
Just to see that what is to be
Perfectly my fantasy

I came to know with now dismay
That in this world we all must pay
Pay to write, pay to play
Pay to cum, pay to fight

And all in time,
With just our minds
We soon will find
What's left behind

Not long ago when things were slow
We all got by with what we know
The end is near. Hearts filled with fear
Don't want to listen to what they hear

And so it's now we choose to fight
To stick up for our bloody right
The right to sing, the right to dance
The right is ours... We'll take the chance

A peace together
A piece apart
A piece of wisdom
From our hearts*

I didn't think anything would ever overtake After Hours as my visual association with this song.

It's a Christmas miracle!

Fun video but I have to put my foot down at the continuing abuse of the word "parody". This is far from parody in any way, rather it's a mashup. Kids these days.

I don't know if this warrants an FPP, but here's Linus (in Charlie Brown Christmas) Sings the Police (Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic)

I'm guessing his version isn't dedicated to Sally.

Oh, there's two more crossovers... the meta-tastic "Peanuts," and, for whatever reason, "Synchronicity I."
