India's hand drawn movie posters are artistic, hilarious, and full of pastel colors.

these are cool and i keep looking at them for the artistic touch. but what really tickles me every time i spot it is the technical information, like DTS or 3D, that is presented on the poster too. that sort of 'does it' for me.

Disclaimer: some of these were commissioned by the blogger.

What, they weren't all used to advertise movies on the street? Boo.

I can't imagine how censored the Indian version of "Wild at Heart" must have been.

I have seen this collection of movie posters from 'Africa' passed around the web various places.

What's with all the grid textures? It makes them look at home in any 80's movie that liberally used the word "cyber".

It's worth noting this is really the house style at one particular poster shop, not representative of all Indian posters.

The grid textures would have to be an artifact of what they've found works for them to do half-toning quickly.

Aw, I'm disappointed that some of these were commissioned -- I was about to be so excited that in India there's still a big popular audience for, say, M.

My only peeve would be with calling it "India's posters.." rather than "One poster artist's work"...
