I don't get the parody account thing. Especially when it's a "parody" of a comedian or other famous person. These people are writing jokes to tweet, then they make it seem like it's coming from the feed of a famous person who isn't them. Is the bump you get from the attached name really worth it? Since you can change your account at any time on Twitter, I'm wondering if anyone has ever started a parody account, then made it more personal once amassing a following.

arcticseal: a couple of them have already basically happened. For the World Series Pug see Anfield Cat. A cat ran onto the field at a Liverpool game (Liverpool play at Anfield). I've found about 12 parody accounts for the cat (This appears to be the most popular). And forget about a Royal Baby account - there's already a Royal Fetus account (actually quite a few).

munchingzombie: As the editor of the linked article, I actually don't think it "hated" Gangnam Style at all. It merely mocked those who ride its coattails rather than coming up with their own jokes. I was an early fan of the music video and am overjoyed at its massive success—because it was witty and unexpected, unlike 99% of the references others make to it. I also like hipsters.

Not one of those had a bit of humor. The common tread was jumping on Gangnam Style, to which, I can honestly say, I only vaguely know what that is, but that's beside the point. I felt like I was reading a bunch of six year olds who, although smart for six, was making up adult "Jokes" as though they were playing the Playboy Club. God the internet is full of shit!
