Did you hear this year they're letting in agnostics?

Is "misguidedly smug" a term that people use? I think maybe it should be.

Anybody know what the Hebrew at the end says?

This is the Hebrew song at the end.

I thought jews weren't supposed to proselytize? It's not like they want converts, is it?

I haven't been so moved since I saw that poem on Facebook about how the kids from Sandy Hook went on a field trip to Heaven and Jesus was their chaperone and there were toys and everything.

Am I missing something or is the joke just, "no atheists in foxholes, lol"?

That was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Wait. Was that the point?

this is what you get for donating to kars 4 kids. yes, that one, with that earworm jingle. now it's in your head.

(I'm not even kidding about that poem. I would have linked it, but I couldn't find it again. It was intensely offensive in its preciousness.)

I'm okay with that. As this is America, I support that each of us can believe in what he or she wants. Even if they aren't real, especially what I call the trinity of human belief: God(s), ghosts, and alien visitors. We are free or we are not. I choose free.

However, I expect the video to be analyzed for its artistic merit and production value.

We can protect Metafilter from posts about creepy religious practices that treat women like sex chattel, but when it comes to atheists, they're fair game, I suppose. :|

I dunno. Religious communities have made a lot of arguments for the existence of God, through the millennia, and this is as compelling to me as any of them.

Careful how you word sentiments like that, gurple or people might call you mentally ill.

I can't believe I still kind of hold a grudge over that whole exchange.

I used to be against government censorship of the Internet but this video has shown me that maybe suppression of some things isn't so bad.

So I don't even have to believe and god will save me from plane crashes? What a sucker. If it was me I would have got off and been like "psych, still don't believe but good looking out godbro". Wonder how long before he catches on and just lets you die.

What does it say about me that I thought the most annoying bit was the line 'while flying on United' when all the plane scenes had a big Southwest logo

Not pictured: The Buddhist, who has made peace with his* mortality and accepts death as a part of life.

* Is it just me, or were there no women in this video?

Spoiler alert: He's already letting us all die.

That remains to be seen. I've made it this far, I bet I can just keep going forever. "just one more miracle big guy, I'll believe this time I swear". Not like god is going anywhere.
