Water Conservation and Usage Systems

"We need the rain." So I was looking for information on water conservation and usage systems, and I found some useful resources. Here's a forum.

First time I read about hugelkultur - really cool stuff (those illustrations don't seem entirely accurate...).

A lot of permaculture folks are doing hugelkultur on a smaller scale; e.g., my mounds are only 1.5ft high, but so far they're doing great.
