Julie Burchill trolls again.... The UK's Observer newspaper has ran a column by Julie Burchill which was written in response to the alleged 'bullying' that her friend Guardian columist Suzanne Moore received after including a comment that 'We are angry with ourselves for not being happier, not being loved properly and not having the ideal body shape – that of a Brazilian transsexual.' in a New Statesman piece on the political damage that the Coalition government are inflicting on the UK.

The controversial piece has generated outrage and disgust with numerous contributors to the 2,000+ column section urging that the article be reported to the Police for potential hate crime violations, and to the Press Complaints Commission.

Many commentators are also criticising the Guardian's editor Alan Rusbridger who has washed his hands of the affair, and refered criticism to the Observers complaints department despite the guardian.co.uk website hosting the article.

Suzanne Moore's response to the complaints about her New Statesman article was published in the Guardian earlier in the week.

God knows what they were doing publishing Burchill's one.

The maxim "don't give the troll ad revenue by viewing their website" would probably be fairly relevant here... although it is strange to be writing this about the Guardian rather than the Daily Mail.
