Has anybody ever tried something like this with human translaters? I would guess that there would be far far less degradation of meaning, but ambiguities or judgement calls could stack up over time.

Wow, nerds ruin everything, even their own ideas. It would be immensely better without the dude in the sport coat. You could get the premise across with just a title, it really didn't need the whacky explanation.

I really miss Lost in Translation. When my company tried to convince me that we could do app localization by running everything through machine translation, I thought I could have an unstoppable rebuttal in 8 seconds, only to find that the standard "I'm a little tea pot" routine had been taken down.
