I should probably not read this at work, because of the giggling.

Aw man, these are not as funny as I was hoping. Well...I'll keep reading and hope that a few get me to Laughsville, Pop. Me.

Thor likes Pringles? What is it with aliens and junk food?

See also: Texts from The Avengers. Features Texts From Last Night artfully matched with screencaps from the Marvel movie-verse.

It annoyed me that Barry is "super dead" and yet that Green Lantern/Flash test references the gay Green Lantern, who appeared in the comics *after* Flash came back from the dead/Speed Force.

It just ruined my engagement with this website.

Yeah, these are great. I read "Don't pretend you know which Flash this is." three times and laughed every time and then again in this thread.

Superman (not) RSVPing for Thanksgiving also made me chuckle more than it should have. Might be because I'm not a big fan of the Last of His Kind trope. Might be because I like people telling Superman to shut up.

Thor also enjoys Pop Tarts

These are great, but the one with Storm and Wolverine*... those aren't puns.

I think the reason it is so funny is that it speaks to the human condition. Do any of us, really and truly, know which Flash this is?

Wally West.

Obviously.

Also: Superhero Facebook Status Updates

(NB: Some jokes require vague familiarity with storylines ca. 2009.)

See, that is clearly Scott Lang Ant-Man, who never beat his wife.
(And technically that was Yellow-Jacket I).

I don't read DC text message parodies.

Also Texts from Xavier Academy, for those of you who prefer your embarrassingly drunk superheroes to be mutants.
posted by Coobeastie at 3:24 PM on January 15, 2013

The very first one all the way back at the beginning made me chuckle the most, but many were amusing.

The one about Loki waiting outside, tied up, while the Avengers eat some shawarma is pretty great.

These are consistently better than I'd expect. Thanks, MartinWisse.

The "Man out of Time" humor on the Cap ones are incredibly charming... as if your sweet old grampa who doesn't quite get the internets but tries really hard for your sake actually was a superhero to everyone and not just to you.

WHICH ONE?

Any that aren't wearing pants. Or horribly dead. Or both.

Love it. Some of them remind me of the Justice Friends.

Nice. I especially like the ones between Power Man and Iron Fist, because those actually seem like conversations they'd have. "Does the job pay? Then I'm the guy from Mortal
Kombat."
