"Need 2 or 3 women for Star Trek roleplaying. [...] I don't mind if your costume isn't terribly authentic, just make sure it's close to TNG era. Once you have your script you can think about your character and let me know about any ideas you have. We won't be filming anything it, it's just a fun way to spend an afternoon. Maybe my mom will make lunch. [....] Nothing weird is going to happen."

So this is code for drugs or prostitution, right?

I can't say I ever thought I'd see prescription medicine offered as a reward for Star Trek roleplaying, but then again, I lack foresight.

You left out the best part: "This isn't paid, but I have a doctor's prescription pad (a long story) and I can write you a prescription for basically anything you want."

Dressing up like a ST:TNG character AND scoring free drugs? Fucking SWEET. The only thing this post is missing is the script itself. I wonder what happens on that shuttlecraft!

After that football player's fake girlfriend I'm mentally teasing apart everything anybody claims today. I would not volunteer for this activity even if I were a TNG obsessed female.

I hope so. I just shudder to imagine what "maybe my mom will make sandwiches" is code for.

And

"but I have a doctor's prescription pad (a long story) and I can write you a prescription for basically anything you want" must be code for something so debauched and reprehensible even the code is illegal activity.

I need more details about what mom is making for lunch. Is it grilled cheese sammiches with tomato soup? Maybe BLTs?

I'm trying to figure out why this is a good post for Metafilter? Seems like a point-and-laugh situation, and we don't really do that here.

Kirk is every bit as good a captain as Picard, though. They just have different approaches to problematic situations, that's all. Picard's involves conferring with his officers and drinking tea (Earl Grey, hot), while Kirk's is all about taking off his shirt and romancing the alien women. Potato, potahto.

"Star Trek role-playing... nothing weird is going to happen".

Make your mind up, son. You can't have it both ways.

"Please respond with pic and short bio plus stats."

The only stat you'll need is my charisma, baby. Roll for save.

"Nothing weird is going to happen."

It's not a real episode of Star Trek if nothing weird is going to happen.
