Once you have your script you can think about your character and let me know about any ideas you have. We won't be filming anything it, it's just a fun way to spend an afternoon. I can't say I ever thought I'd see prescription medicine offered as a reward for Star Trek roleplaying, but then again, I lack foresight.

And

I'm trying to figure out why this is a good post for Metafilter? Seems like a point-and-laugh situation, and we don't really do that here.

Kirk is every bit as good a captain as Picard, though. They just have different approaches to problematic situations, that's all. Picard's involves conferring with his officers and drinking tea (Earl Grey, hot), while Kirk's is all about taking off his shirt and romancing the alien women. Potato, potahto.
